The Art of Authenticity: Mars ☌ Uranus in Taurus
What kind of impact could you make if you released your fear of being seen as "cringe" or "cool"?
On Monday, July 15, Mars and Uranus met up at 26° Taurus – in Human Design, Gate 8 is called “Contribution” & is located in the Throat Center.
“We need not fear Mediocrity as long as our heart is open and singing.”
- Richard Rudd, The 64 Ways
Every so often, we get a cosmic reminder that life is short, and we are ultimately responsible for the way we choose to show up in it.
The Mars-Uranus conjunction happens once every couple of years – the last one was in August 2022 (in Gate 2, Direction of the Self) – and it’s kind of like an astrological wake-up call tbh!
Uranus is known to bring a little chaos to inspire change & innovation, and
Mars comes in with the heat, ready to spring into action & fight the (good?) fight
Now, I can’t ignore the fact that I’m writing this on the other side of a pretty major, pretty chaotic moment in American politics that just happened to coincide with this astrological event.
Regardless of your political affiliation, there was an assassination attempt on a former president, and a lot of people have had strong feelings and reactions in the wake of this moment.
It’s definitely giving explosive, “what’s gonna happen??” Mars-Uranus energy right now. The air is almost crackling with the anticipation we’re all feeling; on edge, wondering what’s next for all of us.
One of my dear friends & yoga teachers, Mike Adams (@mike_adams75), posted this quote on his Instagram Story on Sunday night – and it’s really stuck with me.
“Don’t let ugly bring out the ugly in you”
When you look back at this time in your life, will you be proud of yourself?
Will you be proud of the way you chose to represent yourself? Are you choosing your words with care? Are you thinking about the future impact of your behavior, both in your intimate circles and in the larger communities to which you belong?
The Gate of Contribution asks us to be fully expressed, because it’s our gift to the world to be exactly who we are.
Everyone has a unique role to play in the cosmic story of humanity – but that obviously doesn’t mean everyone is meant to be a famous historical figure to be remembered for the rest of time as we know it.
You don’t have to be a Rosa Parks or a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to make a positive impact on society.
What if you being yourself, extending kindness and generosity to others in your day-to-day life, is actually the way you leave your legacy?
In a sometimes overly-produced, highly-calculated world that seems to revolve around social clout and how things look and the importance of “being cool” – can you give yourself permission to just be you as you are, right here in this moment?
Sending all my love to you in this season of accessing courage & authenticity xo
